Any colour as long as it's green .....
Southdown 122 and 481 were parked next to each other, making a fine pairing.
Southdown 1722 (2722CD) is a Leyland Leopard with locally built Harrington body, purchased by Southdown for tours work.
Since its appearence at the 2003 rally, 1306, another Leopard has received a repaint into Southdown green and cream.
Another Company using the old Southdown livery is Emsworth and District who still operated former London Buses DMS2045 on school services.
Two ex-London Country Leyland Nationals were present. SNB340 was one of London Country's standard 10.3m models with roof pod.
A number of current Stagecoach buses are painted in the traditional liveries of the former companies now in Stagecoach territory including Volvo B10M/Plaxton 20654 which carries the dark green and cream of the Maidstone & District company. It is allocated to Hastings.
Two buses from Hants & Surrey carry the green & cream of the old Aldershot and District company whose area of operation covered much of West Surrey and North East Hampshire. Olympian 16628 and Dart 33020 are the lucky recipients.
The real Aldershot & District fleet was again represented by AEC Reliance 370 (XHO370).
Palaeobus still have former Southdown National BCD802L on their books and we were pleased to see it at Shoreham. It has now lost the rather bright shade of green which Palaeobus applied originally for this more subdued shade.
Reading Buses have used green for their route 9 branding as seen on Scania/Wright 1019 (YN05GXW.
